Hello, you have before you a tasting box with Wieninger wines and also a nice sommelier experience. In the box you found a personal letter from winemaker Fritz Wieninger, who was thrilled to be able to arrange a visit to his winery and a tasting of his own wines..

You've probably already come across a simple tasting card, thanks to which you can get a taste of the sommelier profession, at least for a while, and descriptions of individual wines. Before you start tasting, please check the temperature of the wine being served. Just a reminder that white wine benefits from a temperature of 9–11 °C. And now, just invite family or friends, prepare your tasting cards, and the tasting of exceptional Viennese wines from Wieninger can begin! The entire tasting will be guided by the videos below.

Forget the world around you… You are just a short distance across the border – in the Viennese vineyards of Nussberg and Bisamberg, from where there is a wonderful view of the city. Wieninger Winery has succeeded in reviving the Gemischter Satz brand, a terroir typical specifically for Vienna. What does that mean? In the vineyards, grapes of various varieties grow here, but they are harvested and processed together, which gives the wine incredible complexity. Indeed, for this, the Gemischter Satz designation earned the DAC designation in 2013.

Together with Fritz Wieninger, we have selected three wines for you – three gems, which represent the winery's production. You will find their detailed description in the tasting box. However, we will let Fritz tell you more about them directly.
