Did you know that Czechoslovakia was once an asparagus superpower and Czech asparagus was a renowned delicacy exported from our country all over the world? Its fame was almost trampled by 40 years of totalitarianism, when it unfairly gained a reputation as a bourgeois delicacy and was almost eradicated from Czech tables. Český chřest is a group of enthusiasts striving to restore the glory of Czech asparagus and bring it back to Czech menus. And thanks to a unique collaboration with Český chřest, Rohlík now has its own asparagus field just outside Prague this year. From Wednesday, April 18th, you can buy legendary Český chřest directly from our field on Rohlík!
