Every day, we create handmade baked goods, that smell of home and bring joy.
In our bakery, we build upon traditional recipes, honest craftsmanship, and quality ingredients, which give our baked goods their true taste.
As the only bakery, we also have a bakery directly within Rohlik, so you can always enjoy our freshly baked goods.
OUR STORY
began to be written in 1991 in Benátky nad Jizerou. At that time, a small bakery with a big heart was established. Initially, we only baked basic pastries in a single-shift operation with a few employees and delivered them with a single car.
Today, we produce pastries in a 3-shift operation 364 days a year, we operate a network of 18 own stores with bakeries, where we bake fresh pastries for you directly on site. Our stores can be found in many towns and villages of the Central Bohemian Region and its surroundings. In some stores, we operate our own cafés.
Even though our bakery has grown substantially over the years, we still rely on honest manual work and traditional recipes.
ICONIC BREAD
developed by our bakers under the name Benátčan 17, or also "SEVENTEEN"
Did you know that the "17" in the name refers to the time it matured in a proofing basket at a constant low temperature?
The bread has a distinctive bready flavor, large porosity, and a moist crumb. Typical for it is a well-baked, cracked crust and a pleasant aroma of roasted caraway. Thanks to the high hydration of the dough, it stays moist longer. The bread is leavened exclusively with stable rye sourdough.
