Svijany Brewery – a tradition that has tasted good since 1564
Svijany Brewery is among the oldest breweries in our country. You can find it in a picturesque village on the edge of Bohemian Paradise, right by the highway between Prague and Liberec. Over more than 450 years of its history, it has experienced many difficult moments, and was even threatened with complete closure. Today's success is the result of the enthusiasm and hard work of people who were not afraid to take risks and still put their hearts into it.
The brewing process? Tradition and integrity.
Although we brew over 600,000 hectoliters of beer annually, we remain an independent brewery in Czech hands. We adhere to traditional methods that make Czech beer famous worldwide: double decoction brewing, fermentation in open vats in the brewhouse, and long maturation in lager cellars at low temperatures.
Respect for ingredients. We carefully select malt and hops from Czech growers.
We never compromise on the quality of our ingredients. We draw water from our own deep wells, we grow hops in the Polepské blata region, and we source malt from small Czech and Moravian malthouses. It is thanks to this that each of our beers retains its unmistakable character – an honest taste, richness, and drinkability that you expect from Svijany beer.
SHINE – refreshing beer with hops of the future
We brewed Shine Beer from new Czech SAAZ SHINE hops, which are bred for resistance to changing climatic conditions and at the same time offer a rich taste and aroma. This single hop lager with a light alcohol content of 2.9% is unfiltered, unpasteurized, and an ideal choice for moments when you want refreshment without compromise and with flavor.
