Description

Natural aged cheese of premium quality made from unpasteurised cow’s milk.

The first mentions of this cheese come from Switzerland. However, Gruyère de France has its roots in the French regions of Franche-Comté and Savoy. The milk used to make this cheese comes from cows that are fed exclusively on grass and hay. The cheese is therefore characterised by a rich range of flavours, in which you can find fruity as well as nutty notes with a hint of honey. The rind is thin and dark, and the texture is beautifully supple. An essential part of the cheese is the holes, which are the result of varying temperatures during the ageing phase. The size of the holes may vary from pea-sized to cherry-sized. rohlik. rohlik. cz/uploads/od%20%C5%A1t%C4%9Bp%C3%A1na/s%C3%BDr%20typu%20gruy%C3%A8re. jpeg" width="650" loading="lazy">

All Entremont cheeses are certified with Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) and Protected Geographical Indication (PGI), which guarantee their quality.

The secret of an intense taste and aroma

To ensure the aromas and flavours of the cheeses fully develop, they are aged in cellars for several weeks. The cheeses are cared for and turned by head cheesemakers to guarantee the best possible quality.

Use

Gruyère cheese is excellent with crackers, figs, grapes, or in a sandwich with tomato and onion. It is also suitable as a side dish, in soup, or in sauces. Recommended wines are fuller-bodied whites and reds.

Tip! Ideal for creamy onion soup. rohlik. rohlik. cz/uploads/od%20%C5%A1t%C4%9Bp%C3%A1na/pol%C3%A9vka%20se%20s%C3%BDrem%20Gruy%C3%A8re. jpeg" width="700" loading="lazy">
