- 1 chili pepper
- 1 handful of chives
- 125 g of sardines in own juice
- 2 slices of sourdough bread
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 pinch of chili flakes
- 1 pinch of salt
First, prepare the sardine mixture. Clean the chili pepper, remove the seeds, and finely dice it. Wash and finely chop the chives. Drain the juice from the sardines, then mix the sardines with the chopped pepper and chopped chives.
Now toast both slices of bread in a toaster (or in a dry pan) and prepare the spicy oil – in a bowl, mix the olive oil, lemon juice, a pinch of chili flakes, and salt.
Rub the toasted bread slices with a clove of garlic, spread with the sardine mixture, drizzle with the spicy oil, and serve.
